Damn I LOVE THAT INTERIOR!!!!

My wife and I rented a red 07 Stang convertible with black leather interior on our recent vacation to Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. Driving with the top down through Yellowstone was awesome. Took LOTS of pics of the car too! :) I will say that, although the regular V6 Stang DOESN'T have the same power by comparison to our Fusions, that car got EXCELLENT gas mileage. Driving through the mountain pass to Victor Wyoming to visit a microbrewery (I had to bribe the wife to do it), the thing was SOLID. Everything about it was solid. Handling was wonderful in any condition. Only downshifted on occasion and this was on some pretty heavy grade. Car had less than 1000 miles when we rented it and we returned it with almost 2,000 miles on it 8) The only downside I've heard from anyone with a Mustang is that the GT version is "too loose" in the rear. This is per my next door neighbor, but I'd be lying if I told you that I could count on him as a reliable source.

Anyway, both my wife and I LOVED that car. If we had more money, I guarantee you a black stang V6 convertible with black leather interior is the first thing we would buy.

I'm interested in why you say it doesn't have as much power as our Fusions. I don't know the HP for a V6 Mustang off the top of my head, but I do remember reading that an automatic V6 will do 0-60 in 6.9 seconds and the manual will do it in LOW 6s. Does it just not feel as fast as the Fusion? Or is it just slower when you punch it while cruising (as opposed to off the line)?

I have always pretty much despised V6 Mustangs, but after reading how they have improved this newest generation, I definitely respect them now.

i drove an 06 V6 5 speed the other day and it had some pull to it. The salesman said it had 225hp but not sure if that is right or not. but if it is then it has has much HP as my 85 5.0 mustang had stock and that is not bad at all for a V6.

I've never driven one, but they are quick. That powertrain did real well in my '97 Explorer Sport with 4:10 gears. It did 0-60 in 7.9 secs -- which wasnt' bad for a 4x4 back then. Here's the stats on the v6 Stang (taken from C&D):

Power (SAE net): 210 bhp @ 5300 rpm
Torque (SAE net): 240 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm (notice the low RPM)
Curb weight: 3439 lb

Zero to 60 mph: 6.5 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 18.5 sec
Zero to 110 mph: 23.1 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 6.9 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 15.3 sec @ 93 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 113 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 183 ft
Roadholding, 200-ft-dia skidpad: 0.81 g

FUEL ECONOMY:
EPA city/highway driving: 19/28 mpg

^^The Quickest Cars of 2007: Less Than $20,000

The next quickest was the G5 and Cobalt SS (N/A): 0-to-60-mph time: 7.1 sec
Quarter-mile time: 15.7 sec @ 91 mph
