hey, i just bought a I-4 SE automatic and have been looking to maybe soup it up a bit. i want the sound and feel of a ricer, just without the "CHECK OUT MY MEGA SPOILER AND YELLOW PAINT JOB !!!1!1!1" look. i've already done the air box resonator removal and love the result. i'm trying to find some decent muffler tips (want a better sound without spending money for a full on muffler replacement) that would sound decent. the inlet diameter is 2.25" right? have you guys tried any tips on a 4 banger that sound halfway decent?

As far as brand name I can't rmember, but you can find there at any local parts shop near you.
And yes, I did go and cut off a portion of the tail pipe.

There are plenty out there that you don't have to cut the pipes on and they won't stick out.
I have some I got from Orielly Auto Parts, they're plain chrome tips nothing really big and don't
give off any buzzing noise and they were cheap...like less than $15.00 for both and they look
good to me.

I have a se I4 and I think it would be nice if I could get a big oval tip that will go around both stock tips. Something to make it look like one piece. Any body know where I can get one that will fit. I thought about making a custom one but then I'd have to send it out to be chromed and that aint cheap.

You need to find a fabricator locally that can work with Stainless. Have the guy make a Hoop tip that would fit over both pipes and appear as a large oval at the exit of the bumper cover. Then you could just attach the hoop onto the pipes with 2 rivets from the bottom side of pipe. Stainless is far more durable, won't rust and can be polished to look better than chrome.

I found a tip that might work perfect. But I can't find a picture of it on the web. Its a 2000 maxima tip. Its a single oval tip tat covers up 2 tips. If they are spaced out like our tips then I think it would look great. Might be time for me to go to the local salvage yard

Any chance of getting a sound clip of the exhaust in action?

How much of a difference performance/sound wise?

Thanks in advance!!!

Ive noticed a performance gain and sound. I really recomend the magnaflow system, it made my car more noticeable and makes it seem alot stronger off the line. Overall it changed the performance off my vehicle.
