Ok what do you gues think about this style. It is a single oval tip about the same size or a little larger than the 2 tips on the 4 cyl cars. i am not going to spend the money on a full cat back but have a chance to get this muffler for $20 an install will be less than $50.

Looks good! That tip should fill the valence panel's cut-out nicely. Is it a straight through muffler? What's the ID/OD? I ask because if it's a 2.5" (or larger) core you may get interior resonance.

It is a 2.5 straight thru muffler. i would be leaving in the resinator so hopefully the interior noise would not be to bad.

Let us know how it sounds when you get it installed. I'd be inclined to try a 2.25" core without the resonator if your after sound. I've run the stock muffler without the res and it didn't sound any different then stock. I then tried a 2.25" Magnaflow (for sale by the way) with the Ford res - nice but not as meaty as a full cat back. I'm currently running a 2" Dynomax Super Turbo with the Ford res - it's proportionately quieter then the 'Flow but nicer then stock.

With that 2.5 core you're going to loose some low end torque but gain a few ponies in the upper rpms.

well i measured everything and looks like it should fit without a problem. But will be tight at the end. The oval tip is 3.5 inches tall and is 6 inches wide. appears that the cut out in the bumper is about 7 inches so the muffler shop should not have an issue installing it. when i get it done will get up some pix and sound clips.
