Add me to the list, Daniel. You'll send a PM/email when it's time for me to pay/give shipping info ?
that he will.

thanks for the update Daniel. I'd be interested in one of these sets for a MTX should you ever make them. and I do understand the difficulties between the pedal design in the different years.

I may give the Mz3 specific pedal set w/ the Ms3 pattern a 'whirl' once I get these accel pedal orders out the door. My only worry is the change in size, configuration, construction, and drillable mounting locations of the Mz3 pedals through the production years. It'll take me a while to work out a good solution for that problem. ;)

Well your old car you gave your brother was a '05 right? (even if it was '04 nothing changed between years) Just practice on his car and it will work just fine for me. :) :uhhok: :hide: :bolt: :p

It was an '04 auto. I can whip up an accel pedal for it and test fit it. Otherwise, I've got 2 local friends w/ '06 Mazda3 manuals that I can test fit them on. I'm going to work on the Ms3 accel pedals now and work on the full pedal sets for the Mz3 whenever I can fit in some freetime.
I know I know... just nagging. :p I'll wait for you to get around to it because I know you'll have a quality product. IIRC one of the pedals (clutch or brake can't remember which) in the '06+ is plastic whereas it was metal in previous versions.

Looks good Daniel.... Once you work out the kinks add me to the list for a Mz3 set. Also bear in mind that the regular Mz3 accelerator is different and doesn't have a removable cover (I think)

Waiting with held breath.

Can you show the prototype pedals?

Also is it going straight down the list or the sooner we pay we move up the list of people getting them.
He goes down the list in the order added. If he sticks to what he was doing with the deadpedals then once your order is ready he'll send you pictures of it. If you're satisfied with what you see then you pay him and he ships it out. If you're not then you don't pay......... I doubt that will happen though. ;)

Are you going to create a list for the regular mz3? If you are I would like to be added to that list. Thanks!
+1

anyway other question. How would you say the grip of the etched surface is compared to the grip tape you were using before? I know there were problems with the tape staying on the pedals so the etching seems like the perfect solution.

Those look good Daniel. Hmmm, I wonder what they'd look like with a piece of rubber or something as a backing (not going through the holes) just to keep you from seeing through them. And at least now I know what they'd look like next to a black deadpedal.

About the grip, have you driven on the etched pedals with wet feet? I ask because I could hardly shift yesterday from my foot slipping off of my clutch.... never had that problem before.

Added, added and added. Thanks!
All 3 ;)
Still going through final stages of testing for the brake and clutch pedal for both fitment and surface finish, but when they become available they will be $15 each. :D
At the very least no one can beat your prices for the quality you provide!

If you Ms3 guys want an accel pedal plate please post a reply here w/ "I want one" and I'll add you to the list. Otherwise if you are holding out to purchase the complete pedal set, I'd estimate about another 1-2 week wait.

Yes, I actually do want the whole set so please put me down for that. Thanks alot, can't wait!!!
When he's ready for them he'll make another post about them and the waitlist will be in that thread..... at least that's what he's done with every other product he's made.

Heh. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the mounting holes are different from the previous versions. I've installed the revised set on Zodiac's '06 Mazda3s MT, and had no troubles drilling new holes. Since you and icspots have '04 Mazda3s, I'll get in touch with you by this weekend with a rough paper template of the mounting holes for the clutch and brake plates to verify if they will work or not.

On the brake & clutch plate/Mazda3 pedal set front.....I've started. :D Yesterday I got on the bandsaw and cut out about 15 accel plates and 7 sets of brake & clutch plates. I will start finishing and forming them tonight & tomorrow, hopefully start drilling out the sets starting Friday, and then etching a few on Saturday/Sunday . Then, I will put the project on hold for about a week as I settle into the new crib. My house closes on Monday and I will be moving in Tuesday-Wednesday (= Sok very excited!).
I have a '05 MTX... I think there was a change in one of the pedals in either '06 or '07 from metal to plastic (or vice versa). I'm still happy to guinea pig anything you have so just let me know if you need help.

is this still going on? if I sent payment in now, would I have to wait or do you ship these now?
That's not the was he works. You get added to his waitlist by e-mailing him with what you want, or by posting in this thread. Once he's completed your order he'll send you pictures, and assuming you're happy with the product then you pay him and he ships it. This is just a side job for him that he does on the weekends, and he just finished moving so while it will probably take some time he'll eventually get to you. Also I believe he still doesn't have internet at home so he hasn't been responding too frequently.

icspots....thanks for replying to these posts in my absence. I'll be sure to reward you with one of the first Mz3 pedal sets that I'll be making in the next week or two. :D

Happy to help Daniel..... and for the record :yay:

Hiya,

what are the chances of these pedals fitting my UK Mazda 3 2.0 Sport? Bearing in mind it's right hand drive. I am also VERY interested in the dead pedal. I would love a complete set for manual transmission and the dead pedal / foot rest...

Cheers,
Chris.
As long as the pedal orientation is the same I don't see why they wouldn't fit. I don't actually know, which way are the pedals, still clutch to gas (left to right)?

hey sok07, i know it's memorial day weekend....and you're probably BBQing

but was wondering if you had MS3 pedals in stock ;)
He doesn't really keep a stock of them. Rather he has a waitlist that you get on by either replying in this thread with what you'd like, or by sending him an e-mail. Once he gets to your point in the waitlist and he's finished your plates then he'll e-mail you with pictures.
