Re: Mazda3 5-door / Sedan & Speed3 “Smoked” vinyl reflector overlays

nightshading the reflectors is obsured...its not easy to get it off (i dont even know if nightshade is permanemt or not). these overlays are def. worth the money. ive had them on for 2yrs strong now (through car washes, road trips, snow, rain, etc.) and there still hanging on strong. this is a great product. i would def. buy another set if i ever lose one on the highway or sumthin

absolutely. these havent failed me once yet. im lovin every minute of the day with these. never had issues with pealing. im gonna see how long they will hold up until i need a new set. from the looks of it it might last until the day i sell it, which will be quite some years from now.

PM'd. This is a cool idea. I didnt want to mess w/ that nightshade crap...

Having done nightshades on my reflectors before I found out about these overlays I can confidently say that these overlays are far and beyond superior to other options. I've never had luck with nightshades in getting the coats to apply evenly, and I have had it fade from the sun over time. These overlays are wonderful, easy to install and aesthetically pleasing. The price is also an incredible bargain.. you just can't go wrong.

+1

A can of niteshades is what... $13. Total waste of money when you can get these IMHO.

Re: Mazda3 5-door / Sedan & Speed3 “Smoked” vinyl reflector overlays

I've had mine on for quite some time, probably close to 2 years now. I caught it trying to peel off once, and reapplied with spit (all that was handy). No problems since.

I've been considering trading in my '09 speed3 for an '11 lately. Does anyone know if the reflector shapes are the same, will they be interchangeable? If they're not, do you make them to fit the '11s, Southernsurfer?

They are not interchangeable.. however he does sell them for the 2010-2011 models: http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=157092.0

Awesome, thanks. I guess I'll hand these down to my gf who drives a mz3 if I decide to trade up.

Just put mine on they look great! I didn't get them on perfectly, but I think they'll hold up. Cars kinda dirty.....hope they hold up in the car wash this weekend.

Thanks southernsurfer!

Lara I half installed the ones you had lol.

Didn't want to remove bumper to install clear reflectors so I tinted the rear ones : )
