Anyone feel if their is a big difference between the 2 in the 2.3? I mean the tuneing on the automatic is a must to be changed. I'am just realy thinking about tradeing my 06 in for a 07 Manual 2.3 or praying the new 3.5 comes with a 6 speed :klavergreg:
Anyway just want some opinions...

Honestly, just buy a Mazda6 if you want a stick with more performance. I doubt you'll ever see a V6 stick Fusion. If you want one, get it now because Mazda's warranty drops next year to 3/36 from 4/50 according to the Mazda dealer here.

I have the manual. It is probably more fun to drive than the auto (I never drove the automatic as I knew from the beginning that I wanted a manual). But you will probably take quite a hit in resale value if you do upgrade. Just go to the dealer and test drive a manual and see if it is worth it for you. Or buy a 3.0 Mazda 6 with much more hp AND a manual!

I also realy like that the new 07 will have , i "beleave" a blackd out grill? and also the navigation system and so on...Also some glitch's in the 06 will be fixed... But dunno yet,Money is not realy a problem. Anyone know of any other new add's to the 07 ?

I agree with Showtime - get Mazda 6 with a V6 and manual if your after performance. There simply isn't the demand for a V6/manual trans combo in the Fusion, if there was Ford would make it. I'm happy they offer a manual with the 2.3.

Job 2 will have a spoiler option, side curtain airbags are standard, as well as perimeter alarm system. But you will also have an old style mast antenna!

Why the old style mast antenna? I have the side curtain airbags and perimeter alarm system but no mast antenna.

Ford is going back to a mast style antenna for 2007 - perhaps for better reception? They didn't say why.

Well you can always rewire it with those shark fin things that go above the back window? or one of the short sticks like on 2002 or so jetta's. Or i can just go for it and see what i can do with the automatic, i know the shifting responce and take off's will not be like if was stick. Just dunno, feel stupid if i put $5k into a automatic 4cylinder.
