I was looking a the 3D Carbon web site. Does anyone have any experience with 3d Carbon? How is the fit and finish? Does it have to be installed by body shop? What other companies are out there? Thanks

Look for pictures of my car. I have the complete 6-piece kit. Fit and finish is great, although there has been a few members that have experienced lifting of the passenger side of the rear decklid spoiler, myself included. Easily fixed with some double-sided tape, however.

word of warning...

the wing looks awesome, BUT....

it lifts off the trunk on the passenger end.

I've had them reglue it once already and its doing it again. Originally I thought it may have been the high heat in July, but it's currently 32 F or 0 C right now and its doing again.

Mine is a lease so I'm not too concerned, but if I had purchased the vehicle I would want them to bolt it on.

I notice too that Ford didn't go with the 3D Carbon wing as their factory option... maybe because of the problems already?
others have mentioned it also... seems to be the same side too.

I was thinking about getting the ford factory spoiler to replace my 3D carbon. I love the looks but It seems to be lifting and I am tired of worrying if its going to fly off at highway speeds. I know the rest of the 3d carbon kit has better mounting (screws)

Mine isn't lifting that bad, and you can't see it honestly. I am not worried at all about it coming off.

3D Carbon is supplying the factory witht he spoilers. I am not sure if just double stick tape. Have not seen it.

I worked at Ford dealership up to a month ago and did the ordering.

since it says that 3d carbon a offical ford thing.. does that mean the dealers can install the kits?

the users that have gotten it, was it installed at a specialty place?

allso the lil spoiler that goes on the back upper part of the glass, does that one exzibit the same problem as the rear spoiler? as it only held with 2x side tape


oh yeah manybe this part of the ? is in the exhaust section, but it deal with the 3d kit.. any-1 with the magnaflow had to extend there pipes to accomadate the lower rear end?(it says the stockers need too be extended)?

Yeah ! (do a search on this... its been discussed in detail)
Take a look at any dealership... I bet there's a bunch of 06's all done up already with the 3D carbon kits, in various trims.
My dealership put mine on before I even picked up the car. It was included in my lease, along with the tint.

I haven't heard of any problems with the window spoiler.
