I ran in the London to Paris rally the weekend before last, and thought I'd post some of the pictures I took. This was a Time-Speed-Distance rally, so it wasn't about all out speed. You have to follow set waypoints, and arrive at checkpoints in a precise amount of time, which they don't give you. The only thing you have to go by is step-by-step route instructions, and a calculated average speed. This tests the accuracy of both the vehicle and the driver. Unfortunately for us, using a wristwatch and the cars odometer isn't nearly accurate enough to be truly competitive. You receive one point for each second you are either early or late to the next checkpoint, and the lowest total score for the day wins. The first place team accumulated only 72 points, and we finished 10th with 562 points. Not too bad for our first rally, and I plan on being much more competitive next time out.
Anyway, on to the pictures.
