Has anybody discovered a really nice way to cover up those ugly holes that the dealer puts in the front bumper to mount the plate bracket? I gotta do something. I'm so aggravatted about it. I told them not too.

Too bad you can't go back to the dealer and tell them about it. If your state does not require a front plate and they did it anwyay -- you might be able to get a new clip out of it.

When I bought my SVT Focus a long time back -- I bought it in Maryland, a front-plate-state. I TOLD them and they had it in writing ALONG with my Michigan [NON-front-plate-state] not to put the holes and bracket in there...

They did anyway, and I also got a new bumper out of it.

When I went to the dealer the car wasn't there it was still in detroit. I told the dealer not to put one on there and definetely not to drill holes in the bumper. He says that its a state thing and they can't do anything about it. He told me that when the car is ordered it is known which state its going to be sold in therefore the factory puts it on. But I said well look at all those mustangs over there and they don't have front plates. Man that burns me. It wouldn't be bad if it was just snapped on there but damn the put holes in my car!

My wife just wants me to stop complaining and get over it.But they told ohh yeah no problem I'll definetely let the shop know not to put one on.......

I live in Ontario (2 plate province)...
it breaks up the wonderfully symmetrical front end.
kind of ruins the front end.
I think one of the best things about the Fusion is its front end.

Well I live in California and are required to have two plates. I took delivery of my Fusion and left the front one off cause it messes up the look of it. My bracket was in the trunk not installed. I work at a Ford dealer and I can tell you that most new Fords don't have the front plate bracket installed WE have to install it. I would make sure your state requires the front plate if not I would demand a new bumper. I think who ever told you that it comes with it from the factory was lying. Cause I know for a fact Fusion in Ca. don't come with them installed and we are required to put them on before they are sold.

It is the best thing about the car. It is one of the reasons why I bought one. LOVE the grille.

well i live in 562 area in California and this is my car.......already got a ticket for tinted windos and no back plates ( i had dealer plates) but he didnt say anything about the front...lol...hope you guys like my grill.... :rhigareda:

where did you get the Grill or is that a photoshop?

its not as fancy as a photo shop......but i used microsofts old school "paint" since the GRILL I HAD CUSTOM MADE was to small and didnt fit right

WHEN I GOT MY CAR THE WINDOW STICKER HAD "FRONT PLATE BRACKET" $0.00 CHARGE ON THE ACTUAL WINDOW INVOICE AND ALL THE DEALER WAS DOING WAS PUTTING THEIR TAG IN THE BRACKET AS I WAS LOOKING AT IT, IT JUST CAME OFF THE TRUCK, STILL HAD THE PAPER ON THE FENDERS AND HOOD!!!!
