i just got my filter today, part 33-2340 for a fusion I-4 and when i take the stock filter out, I see that the k&n filter is shorter than the stock one? is this normal?

that is the part number for the 3.0 i believe, im not sure the 4 cylinder airbox is the same, it may be an incorrect application from K&N

There have been 2 threads about this ALREADY. The 33-2340 is only for the 3.0, nothing is out for the 2.3 yet. Their website is WRONG. I called them on this a couple months ago. They said no plans to produce the 2.3 filter yet.

Has anyone checked to see if the replacement for the Mazda6 2.3 fits in ours? It's part # 33-2278. I haven't even measured mine yet.
