I had my mechanic install the Progress Technology Rear Anti-Sway Stabilizer Bar on my fusion today and without a car lift, it would have been a real bitch.
My mechanic noted that the washers that are welded onto the new bar cause the rubber bushings to be crammed under the bar bracket into the washers.
The original 16mm bar didnt have any washers welded to it.
He felt that it would spit the rubber bushing eventually.
I said fuck it and told him to leave it and see how it goes.
My drive home from his shop didnt have to many turns on it, so I couldnt really tell a difference. It seemed a little stiffer, but I cant tell.
I will give it a real run over the next few days.
Has anyone else bought one and had it installed?
Was there an issue with the bracket/washer/rubber?
