So I went to the local Ford dealership last week to get an oil change on my old '95 Explorer. As I was waiting, I went out to kick some tires. I saw the Milan and was blown away by the low price. So I looked at the Fusion (which I feel looks the best out of the three sibling cars) and found that it was exactly what my wife and I needed. A merlot I/4 5 speed had just been delivered that day and I loved it. I called my wife and told her to bring her '01 Explorer sport with her as a trade in. LONG story short, my $37 oil change turned into a $19,037 oil change.  Worth every penny!!! Even with a modded '05 Mustang GT as my candy car, I actually enjoy the Fusion almost as much! Fuel mileage is awesome too.  :D

Do you really enjoy driving the Fusion almost as much as your Mustang? I was thinking about a new Mustang GT but decided upon the Fusion 4 cylinder manual, due to economic reasons...but I don't see how 160hp can compare to 300 in the Stang as far as the FUN factor is concerned. I enjoy taking my Fuse through the gears and all, but I can only imagine how much more fun a 300hp car must be.

Well Metallicat, I guess not really as fun. You are right, 300+ hp is awesome. BUT, saving gas is really nice too. I average about 9-12 mpg  in the Stang and 30 mpg :D in the Fusion. Obviously I drive the Stang like I stole it and I am a bit easier on the Fusion. I am really happy with the Fusion though and really enjoy the solid feel and high revving Mazda engine. It reminds me of my '99 Civic Si I had back in the day. Still wonder why Ford has not been able to get more Honda/ Toyota owners over onto our side.

Enjoy your Fusion!!! :p
