Well no 2013 escape but got a brand new 2012 silver xlt 4x4 4 cyl with moon and tune package..will pick it up this week..

Well, the XLT model is probably going to be less aggravating than the Limited we had. So many electrical gremlins.

Thats awesome! You got an awesome car IMO, 2013's don't look as good as those to me and those ones last forever. My uncle has one (I think it is an '04 or '05 but still the same body and even engine if I remember right) and has somewhere around 200,000 miles on it with only routine maintenance done to it. How long do you get the car for?

I liked the car at first, too. I would've liked it longer had it not started having issues.

The platform on the < 2013 Escapes is ancient and unrefined, but that never really bothered me as it's a SUV.

Be thankful it's not the old 2.3L with 4 spd auto. You haven't felt dawg slow until you've driven one of those. I had a '07 fwd 2.3 Mariner. It was scary slow, and didn't get that great of MPG either (no more than my current 290 HP Grand Cherokee). I traded the 07 for an '08 4wd V6. It was much better. The 4wd are excellent in snow. They have a surprisingly high ground clearance for small 'ute. I disliked the tiny front seats, and the interior of the 08 was "cheaper" than that of the 07 (even though it was a "premier").
