Love it. Traded an '04 Explorer for it. Mine is Charcoal Beige Clearcoat with the Camel leather interior. Love the color, my favorite of what they offer on these cars. Almost had to settle for another color, the dealer had a hard time finding one. Is this color rare or something?
Anyway, it came with every option except (and to me, these are weird ones not to have, what do you think?) puddle lights, traction control, and automatic lights.
I was debating between the Charcoal Beige and the black... I really wanted black leather (after this summer I'm reconsidering that decision) and figured it'd look better with the black exterior.
I really like the Charcoal Colour... depending on how the light hits it, it can be different shades.
... and it's a metallic colour, making it sparkle after a wash.
... and it'll hide the dirt better than my black.
... and yours will be even more rare as time goes by. The Charcoal Beige has been dropped for '07.
Thanks guys. Does anyone know how hard it is to add the traction control and the auto-lamps? The traction control I am not so worried about, but I'd like the auto-lamps. Can I just ad the switch for it and make it work? I have the sensor on the dash already because when I unlock the doors at night the lights come on, and they don't in the daytime. Besides, I can see it on the dash.
If it is as easy as adding a switch, or even some other simple part, I wanna do it!
Don't know about the Traction Control, but SEL's are equipped with the Auto Headlight + Foglight function. You just turn the switch to the left the "A" position.

Congrats on the new car. I've only had mine for a week and I love it.
Did you get ABS? Reason why I ask is that the Traction Control system utilizes ABS sensors to work. If you don't have it then you are looking at a costly and tedious project down the road.
Actually, it's funny you ask that. I was under the impression that the ABS came standard. Here's the thing, though.
In dry weather, you can't get the wheels to lock up. Stops pretty well, feels like any other car with ABS.
When it rains, they will lock up like mad if you press hard enough. Plan on asking the dealer about this. I may go look at my paperwork to see that it is supposed to have ABS. Gonna piss me off if not!

If you have your window sticker, pull that bad boy out. It will detail it there.
