I posted this on another site and got no feedback.

We all know that Ford built the Fusion without any way to directly connect an iPod to the factory stereo, right? I was wondering what solutions any of you have come up with for this dilemma. The other night I purchased a new product from DLO called the TransDock Micro. Check out the website here. I bought it at my local Best Buy store for $70. It's pretty cool, except it lacks the auto power-off feature my TransPod had. I'm sure that leaving the TransDock Micro plugged in all the time won't kill my battery, but for some reason I have a hard time leaving it plugged in all night. Anyway, please share with me what any of you have done to integrate your iPod into the Fusion.

Check out the other thread on this topic. Seems all are waiting for the PIE solution - either the Ford AUX or a direct connect to the CD port.

Yeah, I'm following that thread too. However, I was hoping for some discussion about other solutions in the meantime. I mentioned the DLO product I am using, which is great except for the fact that it doesn't auto power off like other DLO products. What else is anybody using out there?

And one more question. The paperwork that came with the DLO Transdock Micro said this concerning whether or not leaving it plugged in will drain the battery:

"Probably not. But it's always a good idea to unplug anything when leaving your car for a long period of time." -Quote came from here (page 11).

How long is a "long time?" Does leaving this device plugged in overnight constitute a threat? Two nights? A week? What do you guys think?

I drive every day of the week, but my drive is very short. So I drive to work/school in the morning for 10 minutes, then I come home in the evening. I do this five days a week, and on some of those days I drive home for lunch. Then the weekends are full of things I have to do. Long story short, I start my car daily but I usually only run it for short amounts of time. What do you think from what little I told you of my situation?
