I'm going to be installing an overhead flip down monitor into my 07. I was wondering because i have no idea how side curtain air bags work, if they are in the way of me removing door molding to get under the headliner. If not then that will make it much easier.

Did you ever think about going the monitor/ headrest way? No monitors in your rearview mirror. Playing with airbags is a touchy thing. Even though they are a simple device, I still wouldn't chance it.
