I'm new to forums and clubs so I don't know if it is just me or is there less interest in either the forum or the Ford Fusion itself?????
There seem to be fewer new posts, and not all that much information from those who have bought the Fusion. Now that it is available has it become ho hum already?
My interest has been in finding a quality mid size sedan of very good quality, gas milage, reliability and safety at a reasonable price. It can be Ford or GM since I don't have a local Toyota or Honda dealer within an hour of my house.

A new car with a forum dedicated specifically to it won't be busy for awhile. I think Ford has only sold about 20000 Fusions/Milans. A lot of people on any car forum like to modify their cars, and there just it's much out for the Fusion yet. You really can't ask people who makes a better this or that when it's not there. When more people start buying them and there's more parts avaiable, you'll see more traffic.

It will take some time for word to spread about this forum. By Summer 2006, we should see some very good activity here.

Maybe I can see if Ford can place a link on their site to this site... ;-)

I feel your frustration, I'm a member of the Corvette Forum and Mazda Miata forums and have asked a few questions on this one too. And I see the key to the problem as a lack of R&D into the after market parts segment or at least a slow start. With the platform I would have expected those involved with Mazda 3 and 6 would have come up with quick revisions to existing performance parts for example cold air intakes, exhaust and performance modules. And lets please not just concern ourselves with the V-6 models, plenty of power can be made from the 4 cylinder model but as I've found from some in the Corvette forum, unless your driving a 69 StingRay with a 396/425hp your not worth bothering with. Well my L-82 puts out 407 at the flywheel and 313 to the ground and I still don't rank with the purist. To them I have the one fingered salute, lets not make this forum into the same type of exclussive V-6 members only club.
I've already fabricated a cold air intake for my 4 cylinder Fusion and currently doing homework on an exhaust system. This is too nice of a car with either engine not to get going on making it a great car.

You'll actually see far more mods for the I4 than for the V6, most likely, confusion, so no need to worry there.

I sure appreciate your support, as an administrator please pass on any information of parts developement. If i'm correct haven't you made mention about performance springs to lower and firm up the ride before? If so could you pass on the manufacturers name or company web address I would be greatful. I really think the Fusion needs at least a 2.0/1.5 ride height reduction to maximize handling.

Thanks, Marc

H&R springs already has a set out. They're on tirerack.com for $237. Don't quote me but I think the shocks off a Mazda6 might fit.

Thanks for the intel Showtime, I'll look into the tire rack site when I get done here. I'm a long time financial contributor to them to my wifes dismay.

I"m stationed at Ft Hood Tx, and everytime I go to the front gate, I am constantly getting compliments of how nice the Fusion is I have the V4 but it serves it purpose. I love it. I added some 18" Mizzati chrome rimes. Where did get the cold air intake??? Still haven't figured how to post pics in the gallery yet. The Fusion is great

Many of we new Fusion owners are or rather were unaware oif this club, I found it today and joined promptly thereafter. Having owned a Mercury Marauder in the past it is my experience that it takes at least 6 months for things to catch up so to speak. Keep posting and let others know about the club.

I am going to buy a license plate frame to get more people in here. And since I live in the land of Freeways and heavy traffic systems, I think people will read the plate frame and check this site out. We should all do the same. :bigok: :dance2: :csweeney:
