hi all, can someone fill me in on the model of the trans used in the I4 auto? i'm quite used to the AX4N/S. how does this one hold up. what's it's history. easy to do maintenance?

i do lots of highway flying, and i mean in the 90mph range often, so this car would be in the 3k rpm range most of it's running life.

Personal Opinion, I love it, 5speed with 28,000 hwy miles and never failed and never gave me a problem.

It all depends how you drive the car. I do alot of driving everyday and I only had the car for only a year.

As for maintenance, its no biggie. Just have to know the proper procedures.

The AX4N/S was the biggest piece of shit Ford ever made. Never buy a used Taurtus/Sable/Continental/Windstar/Freestar.

The Fusion I-4 auto is a Mazda FNR5. The I-4 manual is a Mazda G5M. The V-6 auto is an Aisin AW F21++.

The six-speed automatic in our 2007 V6 SEL AWD Fusion is exceptionally smooth and trouble free at 3,500 miles and six months.
