There must be some company working on aftermarket tail lamps for the Fusion??? Has anyone contacted one because if they saw this forum, they would realize there was a goldmine here...

I would be happy with just an all Red lens.

Love the car, hate the tail lamps..

Chances are they'll grow on you... they did for me. I detested them, they looked too "ricer" at first but as time has gone by I've become more fond of them. Personally, I'd give the car a chance, say six months, if by then you haven't been converted go for it... besides, by then there should be some other choices out there.

I had thought for a bit that the Milan tail ligts would fit the fusion, but somebody at Ford had a little extra time on thier hands and decided to make them different. For now I am going to tint them. I am thinking of making my own covers out of sheetmetal and having them painted the color of the car.

Well you can do a retro on them, just take your stock housing and take the milan tail lights and try to cut them into the fusion lights.  You might going to have to eliminate some L.E.D's when you cut to modify.

But here is the problem;  wiring....

I am going to do this along with my H.I.D retro fit.

Also you could get a whole sheet of L.E.D's from a L.E.D dealer and you can deff do it.  All you have to do is cutt of by where the bulb was and modify a shield to paste a sheet of L.E.Ds. Do something with that red shield (either get rid of it or expand the red around.  You deff need a capacitor since L.E.Ds have low wattage compare to the bulbs so the computer wont go all funny like.  Run your wires. And there.  Takes time, craftman ship, and work but I think it is all worth it.

This guy did a 2001 Deville retro into a Civic
