I have a 2012 Fusion 2.5L. I need to remove the heater core hose that is connected to the engine (at the thermostat side). I have a hard time removing the clamp of that hose. The pliers I am using keep slipping. It seems I would need some pliers that go into the round hole of the clamp.

What kind of pliers would work on this clamp?

Thank you!

They can be difficult with regular slip joint pliers, but I have never had to resort to getting specialty pliers, I am guessing you are looking for something like https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Removal-Installation-Ring-Type-Flat-Band/dp/B07RTQV4F1 I don't know what type of clamp you are dealing with, the flat with the tabs (one of which fits into a slot on the other and is captured open), or the wire type with a single point on one side, and a loop on the other.
