Which kit did you install? Mine (Apexcone) don't do this, and pass the lamp check too!

To aim your headlights, you will need a Philips #2 screwdriver - the adjustment is near the top corner of the lamp, facing straight up. Your owner's manual has a picture and instructions.

If your check lamp light is on, dont risk it. You might burn up your wires. Make sure your lights doesnt flicker when you turn them on. And make sure all of your connections are well connected. If this stil happens then pull out your HIDs and see if it says the same thing when you put your original halogen bulbs in.

What kind of HID setup are you doing? And to aim your lights, please go to the dealer. Unless you know the specs and you know the measurements from how high of the wall and all the thumb rules to it and you have a really good eye.

So just invest $25 to the dealer and you will get a nice job done. Because it is all measured by a computer and the tech expirience.

Check lamp means the system detected an "open" circuit - i.e. a filament lamp burned out. So I wouldn't be too concerned about the wiring unless your kit is over 35W. However, MidNiteKnight is spot on. Have a dealer aim them right before you do any night driving.

As for HID startup, you should see a single bright flash when switched on, then a warmup to full brightness in less than a minute. No flickering. Anything else, you got problems. :nono:
