Well my HID conversion kit came yesterday. I am taking the car to a friends house this afternoon and atttempt to do the install. The left side is what has me worried because of the lack of room and amount of stuff that will need to come apart to do it, but if all goes well, I will have pics posted tonight of the car with a 8000k kit.

Only bad things so far I see is because the way the housing is shaped it doesnt want to put the light down on the ground till a few feet in front of the car and because of that you can see the 2 beams cross eachother instead of them being one wide spread of light. But its not made for HID light so I guess thats expected.

where did you order the kit from? I am leasing so I doubt it would be worth getting on mine but they look awesome. It does make it look more luxurious.

Well no, it's unlikely you'd ever be pulled over for that. It's just one of those "extra's" the cops go for after you're already over.

Install took 15 minutes, VERY easy, Most conversion kits are all plug and play. I bought a kit off Ebay by a brand called WIDE VIEW and it was $238 shipped. Right side install was a snap on mine, nothing blocking the access to the bulb, but the left side you have to take the small half tube from the air intake off ( Just twists off )
Would it be possible to install the Lincoln Zephyr HID's on the fusion? That should produce a better lighting pattern, and look more OEM. Is the sheet metal similar enough? Although I've seen the cars together on one showroom floor I wasn't looking at them with that in mind.

Front end is different, and the only way the HIDs off the Zephr would look factory with a factory beam is if you did a conversion and had the front zephr headlights mounted on your Fusion. Its the headlight assembly that makes the beams look like that. The Zephr has a housing designed for HIDs so the reflectors are shaped for it. Unless you take your car to a body shop, have your front end reshaped for a headlight conversion, it wouldnt work.
