Finally got mine painted and installed (did the paint myself). I like the look!

For those of you who have installed them, how much extra tape did you put on?

I got mine yesterday, but haven't had a chance to put them on yet. I put two stripes of 3m tape on the part that would touch the actual headlight lens. Not too sure if I would need to add more along the flap that goes under the hood?

I just did one large piece of additional tape, but it is one of tke wider tapes available.

Thanks! The only small issue is the corner of the eyelid is nudged up against the fender on the drivers side.

the tape will wear out eventually, use RTV silicone (remove the slim tape that comes on them first) and use painters tape to hold them down for at least an hour while the silicone sets. i started with 3M tape but it didn't hold well. silicone is way better.

So...I just noticed that part of the eyelid cracked!

It is the part that goes under the hood. Not too sure how this happened as there was enough clearance between hood and eyelid. You can't see the crack when the hood is closed, only when it is opened.

No blame is being put on anyone. This is more of a warning to others. Checked your eyelids after having it installed a couple of days.

This crack is on the passenger side, where it goes down towards the front of the car.
