I am sure they have a thinner filament to make them brighter while only drawing 55w. That's how they get away with it. The thinner filament is more fragile, and will eventually wear out faster.

My girlfriend over in Japan is gonna send me some H11's... I should either have a neat suprise, or a complete disaster with what I am planning, lol.

Just be careful guys, the aftermarket bulbs can burn out your wire harness also
Yeah, that happened to my sister's Focus. I had to splice in new connectors!

I believe my warranty is only 6monhts or a year! But if any of you know where to get the silverstars please let me know. I tried to look for them everywhere?
There will never be Silverstars made with the new lightbulb law that was passed... It's done, over. The only bulbs that can be changed, are one's that were already in production before the law went into effect.

I also installed the Luminics Ultra Whites. THEY ARE COMING OUT!!! They look GREAT but they don't project much light on to the road. I have the high beams and the lows, they suck.
By the ending of his post, and how they suck -- he said "They are coming out" as in coming out of the car, he don't like them.

Where do you get this?

I cannot see risking puttin in the "Ultra White" bulb. I used Hyper Whites in my 2002 Explorer with horrible results. My bulbs were burning out about once a month... then my wires all fried together... Silverstars are the only way to go if you don't want to spend the money on an HID kit.
As for me... I will wait until an aftermarket company comes out with a projector headlight assembly, then I will do an HID conversion. I just don't like the performance of an HID when not in a projector.
