Does anyone else have this problem.

The gas pump will keep clicking off when refueling.

It always happens to me, whenever I go to fuel up. The pumps always give me problems and always clicks off. The gas attendants say it is my car, but they are just a bunch of teenagers, but then again the pump gas into a lot of cars all day and they must only really have this problem with my car.

FTW!

Mine gives me problems all the time. I just pull it out a bit and it seems to work ok.

Every ford I have owned has had this problem. My 87 Escort GT had to be all but out to dispense fuel.

I have this "problem" as well. Not nearly as bad as on my old truck though where the filler neck was so shallow you had to sit there and hold the handle down part way. I just pull out a bit, seems to work fine, no overflow or spillage yet.

i have that problem but i also had the same problem with my zx2. to solve it don't put the nozzle all the way down leave it sitting on the last couple notches on the nozzle and that should fix it.

lol... funny thing is.. yes, I do have that same problem, but I can be pumping up gas @ Chevron (for example) and while using pump #5... it will keep on click off unless im forcing the pump in .... but then I can go to pump #15 and it will work flawlessly without clicking out. :dunno:

I don't have this problem - probably because I don't put in the nozzle all the way in. I do recall in the past that many cars would do this with the nozzle all the way in.
