Took the fusion in today to get the PCM recalibrated said it would take all day? i had hard shift from park to reverse and a high rpm when cold. Also has anyone had their allighnment done yet only the dealership has the specs. kinda thought that was weird

Didn't see a follow-up to this post. Did the recalibration make a noticeable difference in how the car seems to perform? Did they fix the shift problem? Did you have an alignment done or not? How many miles on the Fusion? Where you satisfied with the service? Boz

I don't work in the automotive biz any longer but when I did it wasn't uncommon for independant mechanics not to have alinement specs for newer vehicles. In fact if I remember right we had to manually input specs into the rack computer until they updated the software on most new vehicles-this was at a dealer. We also gave out the specs to other local shops...at least the ones we were friendly with.

Had my allighnment done last week, have 15,000 miles on it. Not happy with the allighnment, have to take it back monday to have them fix it. They made it worse, now you have to hold the steering wheel to the right to keep the car stright and if you let go the car flys to the left. I'm really tired of our streets, F'cking potholes everywhere!

I have noticed this too. It always seems that after the first alignment it is never right again.

So far 20,000 miles and no issues.
