CD3 took 3 of the top 4, not bad. I think it's funny that the G6, Malibu, and Sonata scored higher than the Camry, which was only one point higher than a....KIA OPTIMA!!!! The only reason I believe Honda/Toyota have such high reliability perception is that a more affluent class buys them and can afford to maintain them. As more and more average Joes buy them who neglect their cars, you'll see their reliability ratings fall.

You forgot to mention that America's favorite rental mule, the Taurus, also scored higher than the Camry!

Showtime: I think you could be right! One of my other Brothers has two Toyota Matrixes. Both have noisy transaxle bearings, one being a five-speed and the other being a six-speed. He is not worried yet since they are still under warranty. This is not the only transmission bearing issues that I have seen with Toyota.

Different cars = different buys = different expectations. When you own a car which you percieve to be reliable you will let issues slide.

Similarly, if you love your car for its look or for its function you will let issues slide.

This award is causing quiet a buzz around the internet. A Ford beating a Honda/Camry in anything is just out of the question. Fact is I had an associate look at my Fusion very closely. He buys only Audi/BMW products. He even claimed the interior was very well put together for a Ford product and out of the ordinary for Ford. I feel this car deserves more recognition, and it will come as consumers find it.. :)
