Had to post this as I see some of you posting in threads that you're using 91 or 93 octane in your 4 or 6 Fusions.
I hate to see people wasting their hard earned money and making the oil companies richer.
Neither engine in the Fusion requires high octane fuel.
Both the 4 and 6 were DESIGNED to run fine on REGULAR 87 octane fuel. 91 or 93 octane won't make your car run better and does no good for the engine, in fact I've seen articles where it stated that using higher octane fuel than required can actually cause carbon deposits to form in the engine because the fuel burns at a different "burn rate" when you change the octane!!
If an engine is DESIGNED to run on high octane like the Nissan 3.5 V-6 that's different, but the Fusion doesn't need OR require it.
