All : I know it's a bit early for this but, I don't see any mention of the fuel filter replacement, in the factory manual. It looks like it may be located on the fuel pump. It also looks like we can get to the pump,( that is in the fuel tank ), if we lift the rear seat cushion and remove the access door. I just hope we will be able to buy this fuel filter.
On the Mazda 3 Forums, a fellow wrote that the Mazda 3 ( fuel filter ) was not serviceable. :?

I believe that I read in the owners manual for the 2.3 that it was not serviceable either.

I know on my wife's Focus with the 2.3 that the air filter is not serviceable either. Is it the same for the 2.3 here too?

Well, I guess I am really shocked, ( a 150,000 miles ). The fuel must really be clean, these days. I used to get about 25,000 miles out of my old Audi 5000. Push it much passed that, and I would burn the fuel pump relay. I got to the point where all I had to do was put my finger on the fuel pump fuse and if it smoked my skin, it was time. ( Wow, 150,000 miles ). :yay:

The Fuel filter is located on the pump and is serviced at 150,000. And yes it is accessible thru the hole under the back seat.

What's the deal with the air filter? Or at least the air filter for the 2.3 Focus.

It's supposed to be good for something like 100k. I find that very hard to believe. It's also VERY restrictive. Back when I had a Focus, some guys were picking up something like 10hp by replacing it with a cone.
