Will a 2006 Fusion motor fit a 2011?

2.3 in 2006 to 2.5 in 2011? Or first gen 3.0 VVT to second gen 3.0 VVT?

I think there are enough differences mostly in the VVT sensor/actuator that it is a no 3.0 to 3.0, not clear on the 2.3 to 2.5 but I doubt it also, not sure about a flexplate for the 2.3 which was a manual only in 2006, for one of many examples of differences.
