Anyone with any issues feel free to ask, I work at a ford dealership and own a Fusion V6 SE. Dealt with quite a few concerns already, love to help anyone out.
Great Name Chris! :klavergreg: Thanks for offering your services.... I am sure once the people here find out you are a ford tech you will get many requests!
So far its the door rattles, engine tick noise, dash buzz, all with tsb's on em. Ive had the door panel tsb done and it made a huge difference. The dash buzz, I will be having done in like a week.
is there a tsb for the dashboard vibration noise, I get it slightly from the center dash or storage bin area over certain bumps in the road, doesn't happen all the time just over rough road conditions mostly. Any info would be helpful, thanks.
Yes, next time your driving pay attention at 35-40mph around 1500 rpms, you will probably hear it there too. There is a TSB out, involves insulating some lines, possibly the flex pipe depending if yours is a i4 or v6. I had the TSB done today, fixed it right up, not very serious problem, but annoying.
I have a rattle on my V6 that appears to start immediately after I let the foot off the gas, lasts for 1-2 seconds, and returns when I ease my foot back on the pedal and am about 20 percent on it. Doesn't occur all the time - never does it when I dogstomp it.
I have just noticed that I am developing a small rattle in the headliner. Sounds like it is coming from the section between the windshield and my sunroof. I used to notice it when a song with lots of bass would be on.... No I am starting to hear the rattle while driving at highway speeds.
I have a Mercury Milan. I have rattles in what "sounds" like all four doors (or "B" pillar) over sharp bumps, nothing from loud music. Also, a vibration in the dash, sounds like it is right behind the instrument cluster. If I bang on the dash it reproduces the vibration and if I hold the hood over the cluster it eliminates it. But it would be kind of tough to drive while holding the hood.
About the aftermarket exhaust, they may go that way. If there wasn't a TSB I could see that, but since there is a TSB and since the concern was present before the exhaust I don't see why not, just let them know you have it, and the concern was there before and the exhaust has not changed the concern. The headliner, all I can say is bring to the dealership, haven't seen that one.
I have a noise sounds like there's something in the trunk clunking around, but I looked at the jack, moved the jug wrench but still does it over sharp bumps, other than that, no squeeks rattles or other noises

Had the TSB done for the Door panel done on mine, now it is worse. And I think they broke the rear drivers door panel. These guys suck.

be as hard headed as you can ever be and go back there.... get your money's worth
What can you tell me about the engine tick noise from the I4 on the fusion? Mine seems to be louder at certain times. The dealer said its normal is that true?
