I have a 2016 fusion that will randomly have rough idle to the point of going dead. To keep it running you have to keep your foot on the gas and brake. The only code that shows up is p2196 every time that it acts up, and p1450 came up one time recently. I changed the mass air flow and the o2 sensor. I am in the process of changing the purge valve this morning because of the p1450 code. hoping that fixes it. any other ideas? i thought maybe the fuel pump. If this doesn't work my next action may be the dealer.

Just personal opinion here: Sometime it is better to have a trusted shop/tech look at a problem like this. If you do not have the necessary diagnostic tools to track this down, you may wind up throwing more parts, money and frustration at this issue while trying to fix this yourself.

Perhaps one of our tech members will jump in with more advice.

It's really time to find a dealer. After all, I don't understand it myself.
