God damn it. When the sales guy was pitching me on "extended warranties" I asked him why the hell they don't offer a 5 year lik everyone else and he shut up. Now they get it. I'm pissed. Maybe I'll trade it in.

I'm pissed off too!!!!!! I own an 06 V6 SEL and I am going to ask Ford to cover my Fusion if they want to keep a customer.. If not I will not buy a Ford again. If Ford were smart they would offer it to all 2006 new vehicle owners..

Why does the warranty extension for 2007 make you mad? We all bitch when Ford doesn't do something, and they when they finally do it we bitch more. If they are going to extend a warranty, then they have to do it sometime and of course not everyone who purchased one of their vehicles will benefit...not the 2006, 2005, nor 2004 owners. Just the 2007 guys and gals. So be it. If the 2007 Fusion came with a 3.5L engine, would people be mad and demand Ford to swap out the 3.0 for the 3.5 in their 2006 car? I think the extended warranty is great for Ford even though I will not benefit, and it is great despite the fact that I shelled out $1000 to pay for a similar warranty extension in 2006. If they want to make it standard now...GOOD!

Can't speak for the Eastern United States on the 5/100 powertrain warranty, I'm in Alberta, Canada, different country different coverages.

It looks like '06 Fusions sold after July 14 2006 will get the powertrain warranty extended to 5/60,000 with a $100.00 deductible compliments of Ford. Picked mine up on the 31st. :woohoo: For once it looks like I lucked out.

*See your Dealer for limited-warranty details. Includes 2006 and 2007 model year Ford products regardless of the launch date.

So it does include all 2006 vehicles????

I don't think so, if you read the fine print at the bottom it says 2006 model year vehicles sold on or after July 14th.
