My SEL V6 now has 2400 miles on it and will be up to 2500 by the time i change the oil this weekend. I was wondering if it is too soon to switch to synthetic. Should I run dino-oil for anothr 2500 miles? Also, what filter would work best with the synthetic?

I used Havoline 5w20 (Very High Moly containt)for the first 3changes in my Milan 2.3 and my wifes Freestyle 3.0
At 5000 miles I went with 5w20 Pennzoil Platium and Motorcraft filters. (They are very good filters) and no questions about warranty should something come up.
You don't need a special filter when you use synthetic oil.
You can use any name brand synthetic you want. They are all very good.
Or you could use Motorcraft 5w20 which is a synthetic blend and gets very high marks in the oil world.
You can use synthetic oil at 2500 miles with no problem.

You'll be safe using the 5W20 Motorcraft synthetic blend. It's a good oil and is available at Walmart in the 5 quart jugs for around $10. Also use the motorcraft filter. I don't think you can go wrong with this combination.
