Finally got my FUSION back from the body shop!
I was hit on the freeway by a '66 Stang on Oct 22nd and the FORD dealer had my car since Oct 24th.
The guy demolished my front passenger fender, dented my pasenger door pretty good and messed up my suspension a bit, they had to replace the "H" cradle in the front...total damage $6,900.00!!
It's nice to have my car back!

Well, I have to take it back to the Ford Collision shop....took it on a high speed freeway run and I'm getting shaking/vibration through the steering wheel between about 70 to 80 MPH......I spend most my highway time between 70 and 80.
I hope it's just a balance problem but I bet it'll be something they can't get rid of, I was afraid of this! :frown:

The Mustang was a beater....not rusty but definately a candidate for restoration.
I'm just glad the kid had insurance! I didn't have to put in a claim, his insurance paid it all.

That stinks! That is always my fear about getting a car fixed after a hard hit. I hope they can solve the problem.

I'm wondering if the tires may be a factor?
What I mean is, they replaced ONE tire on the side that was hit, I wonder if the other has a flat spot from me skidding when I slammed on the brakes, possibly causing a slight vibration/shaking?

Any tire experts out there?

Well I'm happy to say they rebalanced the tires and no more vibes! Whew! :D
They did the special "Ride Match" balance where they actually balance the wheel to the rim and remount the tire. They said it was off a little.
