Does anyone have trouble filling up their Fusion? When I go to put gas in, the pump always clicks off, even if I'm holding it. It acts like the tank is full, when not even a gallon has gone in. It takes several minutes to fill up the tank. It has occurred at 2 different gas stations so I'm guessing it isn't the pump.

Any ideas what is causing this?

I have a 2007 SE V6.

try putting the nozzel at a different angle in the filler neck.. try tipping it or something. I never had a problem with my fusion but I used to drive a dual-tank diesel F-350 for work and it would do that all the time unless i played witht eh nozzle a bit... and trust me... having it click off when filling 18 gallons is no where near as bad as having it do it for more than 40 gallons!

My t-bird is a pain as well.... I have to pull the nozel almost the whole way out of the filler to get it pumping. Never had a problem with overflow. As far as the fusion goes.. I have never had any problems

I experience the same problem with my Fusion. Here in NJ people pump our gas for us lol. But they always have a hard time getting it to work. I've been to all the pumps in my city, no lie lol. I always watch them struggle with it.

But what ya gonna do?
