We've only banned users for blatant deception of other forum members (Skoot).
The problem is that banning of users is generally ineffective since it's easy for people to use a proxy server and sign on with many other usernames and dummy email addresses. I can get 10 new accounts on 10 email addresses with 10 IP addresses in about 10 minutes.
But, I think sending the message of the ban is the important thing for the members to realize that we're not here to just lock threads that get trolled.
AzMz3 has finally turned things around a bit, so I'm happy in that arena. Untouchable and I seem to have a decent rapport now, but I still think he should have been temp-banned for that "gay joke."
As for Red Raptor - he should have been banned months ago. I'll bet if I went on the Toronto Mazda3 forums and trolled like he has here, I'd be banned.
There are some other users that just annoy me - but these guys are the worst.
