G'day

I am really concerned about the lack of a spare wheel in the Fiesta and debating what to do about it.

The options appear to be
1.spend a large number of $'s on a 'genuine' imported wheel rim and special tyre - too much money for 1 rim!
2.buy a wheel from a wreck - are the earlier and later models all the same stud pattern ?
3.buy a set of alloys with not-so-special tyres - whats the impact on the economy of the car? - can we fit 15"?

5 door hatch - standard rims - (175-65 R14) - March 2010 first reg

Any ideas please ?

cheers

Ok....

I've done some reading and it would seem that the wheel & tyre size will make minimal impact overall on the Fiesta Economy.

So a 14, 15, or 16" alloy with the correct pattern will probably work with the obvious implication that the speedo may not read correctly as a result.

So which models of Fiesta had which wheel sizes as standard?

Do I need to change a gear or something in the speedo to compensate for a larger wheel / tyre size ?

cheers
