With the Norfolk Ford Plant down for the last 3 weeks I've had plenty of time to catch up on some projects running through the gray matter. Looking at my 2.3 manual engine left me a little bored in a bay of black plastic, so I spent about $40.00 in parts and materials and 4 hours of free time and made my own custom engine cover to dress things up a little. The Fordo-plastic air duct is still in place just covered now, the cover helps balance out the cold air intake. What do you think??

Thanks for the comments, since installiing it on Friday afternoon I hadn't had too much time behind the wheel but driving into the plant this morning I paid attention to engine noise and it does quiet things down allot. A nice benefit I didn't plan on, I did insulate the underneath side with high temp insulation pad. Sort of like Dynomat but uses a jute sandwiched between two foil skins.

I hadn't thought about taking any orders but I may be talked into making a couple more.

Yeah, if you decide to take orders you can count me in too, especially if you can customize the logo a bit. But just remember, we know how much you spent to make yours so if you try to charge us $500, we're on to you! LOL!

Ryan, are they the same size as mine? I thought the same thing when I first put mine on but after a while they look good.

By the way, the week of the 14th, the Norfolk Plant is down for another week, during that time I will be making 4 engine covers and finish them in high gloss black. first come first serve at $50.00 a copy plus shipping.

Sent you a PM.

Your PM was received, yourself and Cross Bolt are secure, I'll PM you both when I'm ready to ship. Also let me know if there is anything special you want as far as emblems or lettering.

That's what I'm saying. They look real ricey. I intended a BMW or Mercedes look. But you just can't get that look without an actual BMW. That's ok, 3 more years and I'm getting a BMW.

Those are nice, Marc. Too bad you don't have a V6 at your disposal, huh? I'd twist your arm into making me one, lol.
