I'm just curious if it is ok to wash the inside of the engine compartment? I know with certain vehicles that you shouldn't, but I wanted to know if it is ok with the Fusion. I've only had my car a few months and it's not dirty yet, but when I had my Jetta it got pretty dirty and I cleaned it with a rag sprayed with an interior/exterior liquid.

Check your owners manual. It shows you which components you should cover up and you can spray the motor down to clean it.
