Does there appear to be any damage? If you just locked 'em up, that's what brakes are for!

Did you lock the wheels up? Do you have ABS? If you locked the wheels, how long did you slide? I've seen a pair of front tires that was completely destroyed from a stop from about 35-40mph. If you don't have ABS, you need to know how to threshold brake. Locking up is not the fastest way to stop.

Yeah, a little clarification. Did you yank on the "parking brake" to stop or did you have to stop during an emergency? Cars are made to stop hard. If Ford built a car that would break when you hit the brakes hard, they would not be in business. Trust me, the tires are going to fry long before you break something in your undercarriage!

I pull the "parking break" to whip my back end around in parking lots just for fun. Your car is not going to break.
