So I realized today that my driver's side heated seat is not working. When I press the button it lights up for 2 seconds and then shuts off. The passenger side works fine. Looked under the seat to see if maybe a wire came loose and everything looks ok. dealers gonna look at the ac chirp next week guess ill just add it to the list.

Seems to me like it would be a temp sensor likely bad. Can't see it being a fuse as one side works.

Does anyone have any insight?

You can look at a couple things. First, just take the fuse out and pop it back in, maybe it will fix the problem. From there, I think it could either be a faulty switch, or faulty seat cushion heating element. Dealer may fix it under warranty.

Also, I know that your AC chirp is caused by a faulty blower motor and is common on many 10-12 fusions. I can't remember if it is a warranty item, but if its not you can replace pretty easily yourself for about $75.

thanks Ill for sure have to try the fuse. but now after reading that thread im thinking it might be a blown element because I remember smelling somthing burning and just thought it was the stinky ass diesel truck in front of me. got in the car few hours later still smelt it. checked my amp and sub just in case but connections are soldered in pretty solid.

and ive seen the threads for the blower motor dealer instantly knew what it was too.

It is a pain to replace but Amazon carries universal ones that work fine.

I had the same issue with my 2011 Ford fusion traced it back to my seat had a slice in the leather which cut one of the coils so I had to replace the whole thing
