I died a little inside...  My ambition to keep it a pristine beauty is over. The damage wasn't that bad, there is a 3 inch crack in the bumper and several scratches. I was able to bend back the sheetmetal and the headlight back into place, but the bumper sticks out where it meets the sheet metal.

Bright Side:  Mazda Speed 3 should be coming out soon.... "Honey, you know how you hit my new car?  I think we should get a 3rd car and use mine as the "beater"... maybe another 3?" 
This will only work if it is AWD as I need a snow car!

That's OK... my ex-girlfriend tried to pull into the driveway too fast and rammed into the rear of my previous vehicle (2000 Nissan Frontier).  She put a good crease in my STEEL bumper, but guess what happened to the front of her car...  :exnbp:  She blew out her front headlight and corner light, pushed up the hood on the passanger side, and creased her quarterpanel.

All that because she tried to ramp up into the driveway :Owned:

i just saw it in car and driver...the mazdaspeed version will be the 5 door . I'm kind of disappointed, but I guess a 5 door might be more useful for me in the future.

I wasn't! I test drove one and it was just as peppy as my car.
