I've had my V6 SEL Fusion for close to 11 months now. No mechanical problems (knock on wood). Gas milage is 24 or 25 mpg's avg. (was hoping for more, considering 70% F'way driving), my 03 Taurus with a 3.0 V6 got 27mpg's...So a little disappointed in that respect. Also my Taurus was a more comfortabe ride on our Shitty Michigan roads. So all in all I still like it, but the new car excitement has wore off & it's basically tranportation. I really don't know if I will buy Ford again, considering all the recent BAD news. The Fusion "IT'S JUST A CAR, MAN" 8)

I like it, but if I had the choice again -- I wouldn't buy another one. Come to find out, I really miss the RWD aspect of driving. I miss the V8's as well... I'd save the money and buy a used GT Mustang from back in the day and "make it mine".

Screw the mileage, the rising [then dropping] gas costs, insurance and stuff like that. You only live once, and a car payment is a bill that someone is usually ALWAYS gonna have. Might as well have what you want.

Come to think of it, I would like to sell the Fusion, but at under $300 a month for a brand new car under warranty -- I guess at this stage in my life -- I can't beat it. Eventually, it'll have 50 or 60,000 miles and a car seat in the back. Can't readily do that with a Mustang, so I guess i made a good choice. Just waiting for that to happen, to actually use it as it was intended... Family transportation. Until then, it's a car.

I would buy another one, but not right away. I enjoy the car a lot, but I wish I had the features its coming out with in '07 and later models...I'll wait a few years so they can put all the options I want in a car in it as standard. The next I want is another sports car.

yeah i love my fusion. color wise i really wish i didnt rush for black because of the dirt thing but thats color so eh. fusion as a car i love it. its more along the lines of theres nothing this car really disapoints me on. ive got styling and its useful and has plenty of power (the 2.3 5 spd is the only way to go) and of course i bought this car to keep forever, so could i see it one day with 70k and a car seat? yes. but right now its hot enough to have my friends pile in and go out in.

I've had it 10 months and 18,000 miles, and basically, I still love it. I got the SE V6 with the 6 speed auto. I originally looked at a 4 cylinder Milan with the manual, but couldn't deal with the dealer and couldn't find another one at the time. I made the mistake of driving the V6 and the rest is history. The more I see these cars out and about, the more I like the Zephyr. If the Fusion were totalled or something, I think I would try to find a Zephyr or get into a Milan. I had an 04 Sport Trac before this, and a Ranger before that. There are days when I really miss the trucks, but most of the time, I am glad I went back to a car.

Just clicked over 5,000 trouble free miles on my Fusion SEL V6. My MPG is about 26.7 on average. I drive mostly freeway to work. Yes, I still like my Fusion. I sometime wonder if I should have waited another year for the 3.5 and AWD. But, hey isn't that how the car market works? Always something better just around the corner.. Yep, I would buy another Fusion, or maybe take a closer look at the Milan.. 8)

Yep! Its a nice car. Well done and seems to be solid. Been eying the new Ford Edge, but I always look at other cars! I would buy another Fusion, it is a damn nice car. Would like to see the 3.5 and AWD. Then they got my money again.

I still like my Fusion and it's a good car overall.  I've owned mostly Japanese and German cars, so getting used to a Ford has taken a little time. I just spent 5 days driving a 300C 3.5L rental car (I've had 2 MB E classes- so it was very familiar).  I wouldn't necessarily buy the 300C, but I was reminded how much I miss the RWD.  If I had my $21k back, I'd probably be a little more patient and find a used G35.  If not that, maybe a slightly used Maxima or Accord- even though they are FWD.

I've had my fusion for 10 months and 12,000 miles. I still like it, looks good, rides well and has enough power to have some fun with. I have been thinking of upgrading to a GT Mustang. I'll probably hold out until the new Camaro is released.

Love my Fusion (2.3 man, redfire, alloys). Would not trade it for anything out there (except maybe the new Porsche turbo). Not a single complaint, no squeaks, wiggles, or knocks. This was my first new car (other than a Caravan I bought for my wife in march 05), I've always had used. I got it in November 05, and did not see another one on the road for months, and even today they are fairly rare, and so I still get looks. If I wrecked it tomorrow, I would replace it with an exact replica (except maybe side curtain airbags).

Unless they put a 5 speed with the V6, no. My cars are kept in such good of shape that buying a "new" one is pointless. Unless they make major changes, there is no way I'd buy the exact same thing as I've got.

I've had my Fusion SEL for about 3 months now and I am VERY pleased with it.  Went to a wedding a few weeks ago and when the valet parking guy returned the car to me at the end of the night, some of the guests looked very impressed by the looks of it.

I own a Mustang GT convertible that I only drive on sunny weekends.  I also have a Ford Windstar which is VERY hard on gas.  I was looking for a car for my wife that would be decent on gas and that is why I went with the 4cly.  This car is a real pleaure to drive.  Every time I get into the Mustang now, I'm reaching for the radio controls on the steering wheel, that aren't there lol.  Looks great, handles well and pretty good on gas.  I'd buy another one in a heart beat  .

I love the fusion, i'll probably get one for myself if they can make the svt pretty sweet. I want a two door all wheel drive with a turbo v6(which probably won't happen), if they put a 4 banger in the svt i'll probably get a cobra like i've been wanting, but i'm really impressed by the fusion. They quality of this car is light years ahead of what ford has been putting out so hopefully this will be a trend through the rest of their lineup!

After 7000 miles on my I4, I am still pleased and would buy another. I wish Ford would come out with a Fusion Sportwagon
though. My car has been trouble free so far, no squeaks rattles and get at least 30.5 mpg consistantly with it. Dont think I could ask for much more even though mine is an S model. Only thing I might do different is get the Milan instead for a different look.
