[move][/move][Whats up to everyone. I have a 06 fusion which i really been going back and forth about putting 22's on it. I've seen a couple that looked pretty hot, ut others that i have seen look jacked up and crazy. So here is my question is it worth it to put 22's on it or stick to 20's and drop it. looking forward to you guys and gurls feedback

In my PERSONAL opinion... I think 22's make the car look like a ghetto cruiser. Go with 20's and drop springs, you won't be disappointed. It will look awesome, and will perform well also. Here is a pic of mine... 20s with 245/35/20 tires and Ford racing 1.5in. drop springs.

Go with 19's and a 245/40 tire. I have that setup and love it.

I was told this size 245/40/19 will not fit my 2010! Do you have rubbing issues? Was this size recommended? The upper control arm is very close as it is. I just ordered 245/35/19s because i was told repeatedly that 40's would be too large (.7"). I am kind of frustrated seeing others with 245/40/19, 245/35/20 and still fitting. This means it would fit my car too, but 2 belletires, 2 disocount tires, and 2 Tirerack reps told me they will not fit. :x

I will be putting the 19s on this afternoon. They should fit just fine seeing others running larger tires with same size rims.. ugghh

No way in hell do i see 22's fitting on a 2010, without modifications!
Tire companies will ALWAYS hinge on the original overall diameter and sticking to that so that the speedometer and "braking" are not compromised.

Hell I ran my Mazda Millenia wheels (17X7) with 255 40R17 Pirelli P6000 tires, stock was 215 50R17, although countless said it would be impossible ( I love defeating impossible). Not a snigle issue, but I took the chance and tried the fit. They looked to only bulge the rims by about 3/4 on either side. But did they ever tramline on the highway.

If you don't know what will fit, and don't have the means to measure it yourself, then you are kind of forced to either go with what other (trusted) people have done, or go with what Tire Rack says. Since the only 19" tire Tire Rack recommends is a 235/35-19, that is a very safe size. They do not want to take a chance on selling you something that might not fit. You can almost always fit a tire 10mm bigger than what TR or DTD say will work. But beware that everything needs to be right for that to work, i.e. actual tire dimensions (because each mfgr makes them different), wheel width, wheel offset, tolerances Ford used up when they made your car, suspension height/alignment... and probably more. All that being said, there is about a 90% probability that the wheels and 245/35-19 tires you selected will fit your car just fine!

I got the tires mounted and put on yesterday. 245/35/19 No issue. I now know i have enough room for 245/40/19, better safe than sorry tho.
Thanks for everyones help.
i love my new 19's. they are very comparable to the stock 18" ride feel. The car will be dropped with Eibach springs tomorrow morning. Im sure the ride will change a bit... It currently has the "riding on rails" feel i was looking for! I will have a full post of recent mods soon! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Black on black = HOT. Nice wheels, look forward to the dropped pics.

Thanks! I appreciate the comment. I am not a big fan of chrome (only when used scarcely does it look elegant) but am now considering the chrome door handles which might add a little style. I dont think they would look too bad with the chrome sill and lip of the rims.

Thoughts or opinions anyone?
I like the lack of chrome, there is still too much on mine ;) But I think the chrome window trim is just enough to accent you rim lips. Especially with already having the red strip added.

I saw a blue metallic 06-09 Fusion on the highway today that had some horrendous amount of chrome added, lower bumper plate, trunk plate, door trim, fender vents and god know what else. Was an eyesore in my opinion, but some people like chrome.... I guess.
Yeah, the less chrome the better, IMO.

Looks good Ckenaan.
HOW CAN YOU FIT 22'S ON UR FORD FUSION. DID YOU HAVE TO CUT OR GRIND ANY THING DOWN.
DONT DO IT
You can't put 22" wheels on the Fusion. As stated previously, there are no suitable 22" tires available. These belong on trucks and SUVs where matching tires are available.
Don't do it. The expense outweighs the benefit by a ton. I don't think anything above 20's should go on a Fusion, unless you want to haul it around on a trailer to car shows because daily driving on rims that big would be hell on your suspension, and a lot of stress on your trans. But, if you got money falling out your pocket and can afford the hassle of them, go for it. DON"T FORGET TO POST PICS. :)

22s lowered. I say do it, its your car. Do what you want!
I have had 22s and 20s, I dont mind the ride, but my other car is a 66 bug, so anything is better than that.
What size tires in the front and back? Anyone I know there 22's

I really only wanted 18's or 19's and think my 20's are a good fit! I thought 22's would look horrible but that black car looks sick! I would rock it! two thumbs up!

With about 1" (or possibly a bit more) between the asphalt and the rim, what do you do about potholes, speed bumps, etc...? I can't imagine those rims lasting more than a day around here with our roads!
In my personal opinion I feel like anything over 20" on a fusion looks ghetto, but to each his own
You guys realize this guy has one post and hasn't been back since like April, right?
