The lights are not green. They are clear. Ford puts a green like film over all the things they want to illuminate giving it that green appearance.

I want to change it to, but I'm not going to be the first.

Some people have changed them on Rangers on a board I used to be on. They had to take EVERYTHING apart and sand the green paint off the plastics. Then they used colored LED bulbs to make a different color.... Its doable, but not easy at all and required taking things apart that are better left together.

It's really hard to do it !! I did it on my focus but I'm not doing it again on the fusion. Can't even tell you how many hours it took me ... If it's only the dash that bothers you, www.speedhut.com offers cutom dials for many cars. They don't have one for the fusion yet but if a group is interested, they could produce them.

Good luck !!!
Marc.

I would also like to do this. I am so anal to the point I wanna put sat/nav. in the car but wont buy one becuase it does not have green buttons to match the dash ect. I would jump on this bandwagon and change the color in a heartbeat if I could.

I love the red dials and the light intensity of the OEM but I too don't like the green color. It doesn't fit the modern styling of the car at all. At the same time, I don't think I am in too much of a hurry to delve into what is required to do this mod so will have to live with the green.

Good luck & please keep us posted if you go through with this mod.
