Went to a local korean speed shop and had them make a high grade leather boot, Then added a chrome shifter ball to finish the touch. What you think?

Very nice. I like it. The color of the boot is not my thing but it is very nice. Did you make it or buy it? The shift knob looks great as well i am going to change mine out sometime as well. Did yours screw on like factory or did it attach with the allen set screws?

Why would you do that? It doesn't match the interior of your car plus it will look different than any other Fusion on the road. That is silly.

That's exactly why he did it..... (to be different) It would be pretty boring if all of us had the same look.

I am being sarcastic! I had posted on another thread about www.lamin-x.com and got a bunch of grief about changing something that shouldn't be changed? I replied, "Isn't that what everyone is doing on this website....making "mods" "? Oh well, can't win for losin'.

I missed that!

thanks for the replys, today i took a saw and cut off the welded washer that was on the pole, sanded it down then polished the stick up. Now the boot can sit lower and the ugly washer buldge doesn't appear anymore.

looks good, anyone know what the thread is on the shifter lever? I am looking to replace the factory knob when I install the alum. bushings and I want to make sure I get the proper thread. Also if anyone has info on a short shifter for our cars I would love to see it.
