Anyone had any problems with the cruise control and gear shifts? I've noticed a few times on my V6, cruising at about 60 mph and go up a hill, the transmission sifts down from 6 to 5. When the car gets to the top of the hill, the transmission won't shift back up and the tach stays at 3,000 rpm until I shut the cruise control off. When I shut it off, it immediately shifts back into high gear and the rpms drop to the normal 2,000. Turn the cruise back on and everything is fine.

Yeah, sometimes mine is a little buggy, and one time I let it "do its thing" and it fixed itself in like a tenth of a mile.

I know that if you start going too fast down a hill while using cruise, it'll down-shift to "engine-brake" while traversing down the hill, and then it'll go back to high gear when through.

Delay is good .. ya gotta have hysteresis otherwise the tranny will be hunting between gears alot and everyone would be complaining about that too.

If the hill doesn't level out to flat but just degrades the car may stay in 5th. Hit the Set- once or twice and then hit the set- once or twice it should pop back into 6th. Or just wait it out .. It'll get there.

A/C will have an effect to.
