Anyone else have a cracked shield yet? mine split down from the top center of the windshield. There is a tiny tiny chip in the upper portion of the crack. The crack runs about 14" long.

Cheers

My wife put a hole in mine on the interstate 2 months after I bought it. She never saw what hit it, but when she got it repaired, the guy told her it looked like it was shot with a pellet gun. It was a perfectly round hole- just below eye level on the driver side (of course- it never happens on the passenger side). Luckily he patched it an it hasn't spider webbed yet.

You must be in a high humidity area? As long as you don’t smell anti-freeze (a leaking heater core) you will probably just have to run the defrost cycle. I don’t have that problem with mine but its really dry here.

It's the humidity. Same trouble here in Western PA. No other option then using the AC or defrost (which uses the AC).

The cleaner the inside of the windshield is the better.

Sorry about your windshield. At least you didn't have a rock smash in your moonroof  :(

That sucks!

Unfortunately I have been down that road with my Focus except with the windshield, which was smashed in just before last Halloween.

It not so much the price of replacing it, but the just knowing that it happened.

Fortunately for me I have less then thirty days left in the townhouse before we move in to our house.

Mine had the crack right down the center of the windshield on the lot. They of course replaced it before I took it home. There was no impact to the windshield either. Has not been any problem since though so no idea what caused it.

Are you talking about the inside of the windshield fogging up, because I just started to notice mine does that on the inside since it started getting cold at night now. Thought someing was wrong with it but it must be normal since other Fusion windshield fog up on the inside too. First car I've had that fogged up that much on the inside. Glad to see it's normal and not a problem.
