Thanks for the suggestion HALOR. It does sound like a lot of work, but its worth it.

Cease, If that doesn't work or your not satisfied with the results, an aftermarket "molded" "pre-cut" rug may be your answer. We used to purchase these about 10 yrs ago for 110-150 bucks. Most of the time these have the heel pad and everything already on them, all you have to do is install the jute backing for "cush" and sound proof and scotchguard the hell out of it before you put it in. (BTW-in my experience, I've found them to be as good or better than factory and yes they fit immaculately) I don't know if there are any available for the Fuze yet but I'll certainly check. Perhaps one of the FoMoCo parts guys on here can get the name of the carpet manufacturer for you and maybe you can buy direct from the company/manufacturer and save yourself some coinage. Never fear, all is never lost! We did work for GM and we cleaned cars that people committed suicide in and were murdered in!And these cars went right back out on the lot to be sold and no one ever knew the difference!!! What won't clean can be replaced at a reasonable cost if your patient to find a good place with a good product.

I would like to replace the carpet, but the price of it would keep me away from it for now. Right now, I will just try to shampoo it. and after it is clean, NO MORE EATING IN THE CAR!!

Wrap the kids and wife up in plastic before you throw them in the car - well....at least add a few little poke holes for air :)

Actually, about 3-4 days ago I was getting my carpets shampooed at a local place and told this guy about the red colored spots that I had on the inside of my car. I had tried just about everything to get them out and nothing worked. Well, he had 10 million things in little bottles and he grabbed one of them, squirted it onto the carpet, and rubbed it in so vigorously that my car started shaking. 10 minutes later he shampooed that area of the carpet and the spots were completely gone. I'm going to have to ask him what he used.

[/quote] If he will tell you at all! In all probability it was something oxy (oxygen) based mixed with a paint thinner and water. Little tricks impress customers and go a long way toward repeat business. As for the ten million bottle collection? I highly recommend it! I mix my own polishes for example:my fav is one that is part 3M, part Pro and part Meguires. The greatest polish effect comes from a polish that is 1 part synthetic-1 part natural-1 part kerosene based. Cleaners are the same way. Just be sure you test all of your 10 million before you put them in or on a car.

When I was unable to remove salt stains from car mats for a long time, a friend helped me. He advised a way to remove salt stains on carpet How to remove salts stains from car seats and carpets in the article there is more than one way, but I I personally chose the cleaning liquid that I used after using a sponge and a vacuum cleaner. I recommend reading this material, as I find it useful.
